Bringing information and support to WA communities

Did you know Advocare delivers a free, state-wide education program to community organisations, aged care provider staff, residents, and their families? Let us help you in supporting and empowering your residents or clients to live their best lives!

Last year Advocare clocked up more than 230 information sessions, delivering vital information on aged care rights, and/or elder abuse to thousands of people across the state.

If you’d like to know what you’ll gain from one of these free sessions watch our video below:

Our information sessions are delivered by our experienced advocates and aim to:

  • Increase awareness about the rights of older people
  • What professional advocacy services are all about
  • Recognising, responding to, and trying to prevent elder abuse; and
  • Increase the capacity of people working in aged care, to protect and champion the rights of older people.

We’re happy to tailor the session to suit your needs – and to come to you. To book a session, or to find out more, contact us at education@advocare.org.au.

Advocare also regularly delivers information sessions open to the public. Find out if there’s an event we’re attending, or a free information session booked at a location near you by visiting our Community Events Listing on the website.
