On Friday 14 November, a group of amazing, community-minded people joined us in the Government House Ballroom for the much-anticipated announcement of the winners of the 2025 WA Seniors Awards.
Presented by Advocare, in partnership with the Department of Communities, and hosted by Channel 9’s Monika Kos, the awards celebrate older Western Australians, as well as the businesses and local governments that support them, to live active, connected and meaningful lives.
Advocare’s Acting CEO, Erin Timu had nothing but praise for all the nominees:
“These awards shine a light on the leadership, resilience and generosity of older Western Australians. The individuals, businesses and local governments recognised this year are creating communities where older people feel safe, respected and included. Their work is priceless.”
Congratulations again to all the finalists across all five categories.
Feel like being inspired? Find out why all these individuals and organisations were nominated in the Award Ceremony video links below.
Once again, the Department of Communities and Advocare would like to acknowledge the generous funding from Lotterywest, and additional support from Beyond Bank, Have a Go News and Channel 9.
