My name is Brian, and I am 78 years old. Not long ago, I was at risk of eviction and homelessness due to my mental health condition, which manifested as hoarding. Thanks to Advocare, who offers a care finder service in WA, my life has completely turned around.
The Advocare team, along with other community services and health professionals, developed a support plan that addressed my unique needs. They were patient, understanding, and explained everything clearly, helping me regain control over my life.
With their support, I was able to access the aged care services I desperately needed and make significant improvements to my home and mental health. This program has allowed me to live independently again and connect socially in the community.
I am incredibly grateful for the compassionate and coordinated efforts of everyone involved. Without their help, I would have been homeless with nowhere to turn. My life is so much better now, and I can’t thank them enough for giving me a second chance.
