Travelling Perth on the cheap!

Man looking at Perth city

We’re big fans of keeping older adults connected with their communities and public transport can be key. If you have a Seniors Card, you may already know you can travel free during off-peak times Monday to Friday and on weekends. However, for everyone else without one, check these other cheap travel options.

As of 1 January, everyone can travel on Transperth’s network for three hours for less than $4.00 with the new ‘Go Anywhere Fare’ in the Perth metro! This also means, if you have a Seniors Card and want to travel during peak times you don’t have to wait. For more information visit the Transperth website.

If you are a beach lover, there’s also a new free bus service that runs from the Stirling Train Station to Scarborough Beach. It’s called the Surf CAT bus and runs every 10 minutes during peak periods. Find out more about this free transport service that takes the sting out of getting to the beach and finding parking close by at the PTA website here.
