We’re looking forward to celebrating one of our favourite times of the year – WA Seniors Week (10-17 November). This year, as Advocare takes on its new role of WA’s Seniors Peak Body, we’re encouraging everyone – seniors themselves, community groups and aged care providers alike to get into the spirit of things to recognise the important role of seniors in our community. Although Advocare believes it should be Seniors Week every week, in this week in November our team will be busy out in the community attending even more events and delivering information sessions to ensure older people are valued, feel safe and are aware of their rights in the aged care system.
If you’re near the Burswood area in Perth on 13 November, do stop by to say hello at the hugely popular Have a Go Day event. It’s always great fun with plenty of stalls, free activities and information – and the weather usually turns it on beautifully. No promises, though at least in the weather department!
