In our last edition of Newsbites we were privileged to speak with Anne Moore, the wonderful metropolitan winner of the 2025 Senior of the Year Award. Anne was a fighter, in more ways than many of us knew.
Late last month we were saddened to hear of Anne’s death. Even at the time of our interview, Anne was still full of enthusiasm for the work she continued to do at the Lucy Saw Centre for women and children escaping family and domestic violence, despite her illness. She adored her family, sharing with us her desire to keep spending time with them, especially her grandchildren, for as long as she possibly could.
Anne was a trailblazer and lady of enormous spirit in her desire to help make the world a fairer, better place. Our sincere condolences to Anne’s family, friends and colleagues. Thank you and vale, Anne.
