Many older West Australians have tackled cost-of-living challenges throughout their lives, from post-war recovery and raising families on a single income, to periods of recession and uncertainty.
These experiences build resilience and ability to adapt when times are tough.
Advocare is keen to learn how older people are managing the current cost-of living challenges, and where they might be feeling the greatest impact. We would love to hear from older people, their families and support networks, as well as organisations that work alongside them.
The insights gathered from our Being Budget-wise Survey will help inform Advocare’s submissions to state and federal governments ahead of next round of pre-budget submissions. What do older West Australians need for future support and investment? We hope to find out so, organisations and older people – take our survey!
These confidential surveys are open now until Monday 3 August, 5.00pm.
As an incentive to encourage seniors to participate, we’re offering the chance for respondents to go into the prize draw to win a $100 shopping voucher after completing our survey.
Take part in the Being Budget-wise Survey in two ways:
- As an older person or a family member living in Western Australia. Start survey here.
- As a service or organisation that works with Western Australian older people, not necessarily seniors-specific. Start survey here.
Thank you for taking the time to participate!
