Remove hazards to stay on your feet

Our friends at the Stay On Your Feet® program have just launched their Remove Hazards 2026 campaign aimed at keeping people… on their feet. It’s all about preventing injury and falls by raising awareness of hazards in the environment for older people. Find more helpful and very shareable, information.

People aged 65+ accounted for more than two-thirds of all falls hospitalisation in 2024. The Remove Hazards campaign is keen to encourage older adults to prevent falls and support healthy ageing. The Remove Hazards campaign focuses on the importance of home safety, eye health, foot health, and wearing safe footwear to stay active and independent.

Remove Hazards Toolkit

In particular, aged care and community care workers are uniquely placed to support older adults in staying healthy and independent, and in preventing falls.

The Remove Hazards Toolkit has everything you need to get involved and help raise awareness of falls prevention strategies among older adults in the community. You can also find and order brochures, flyers, checklists and so on, here. There are even videos to demonstrate fall recovery techniques, too.
